There is a member here who has managed to get under my skin and it seems the skin of others.

I am trying to remain on the good side of civility when replying to his wacky posts but it is very difficult. I am sure I have skated close to failure with this. My applogies to the members for any step over the line.

I have enjoyed the informative exchange of ideas here and the flame war flare ups have been kept to a minimum. The board moderator does a first class job.

I just want to suggest to others that they stay clam and don't let this fellow drag you down to name calling. Refute the nonsensical "facts" and challenge the lack of documentation and references

I promise to make an effort to stay on the side of the rational.

Good Sir Moderator - if you feel I have been out of line at anypoint please let me know, privately or publicly.

I tried doing the cryptic crossword today and it was easier than reading some of those posts.......and I'm no good at crosswords.

They seem to be a jumble of truths, half truths and pure utter chaos theory, which is sort of endearing if you take with a pinch of salt. The danger is we take these things seriously when it is better to ignore them. No danger of anyone being misled as to claim to understand what's being said is admitting that you're barking too Shocked

I have actually enjoyed many of his posts (He who must not be named). The comics in the daily paper are just not up to the standard of yesteryear so I get comic relief wherever I can. Sometimes this forum makes me laugh like a drunked up donkey! Keep up the good work guys! Laughing

Oh well I don't mind. I get to review my ideas and see how others accept them. My distributors like my ideas.

The stylus and cantilever wars have been going on for as long as the open-pit mines have.

Oh, so you are a high powered manufacturer?....with distributors yet...impressive. Of course you can't tell any of us what you make and your distributors distribute. We just don't need to know, I am sure.

Cantilever wars? Most folks are discussing, the only one waring seems to be you. You must be the proverbial "Army of One".

No, I meant the distributors who supply to me. I'm not in the audio business, but left an instrumentation business years ago.

Materials ARE getting scarce. Your cartridge may not be repaireable in the future.

Making the connections between stylus repairs and practicality, or cantilever mass and stylus tip tracking, is not so simple.

Bigears,

Dont despair: I heard that burlap in your eustachian tubes
prevents you from reading certain inane Canadian postings....

Personally I don't take flame wars in the vinyl world too seriously. Why may that be?

So I'm from the Decca club anyway.
